Gemfos 35mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gemfos 35mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease. However, use of Gemfos 35mg Tablet is not advised in severe kidney disease patients.

Liver

Gemfos 35mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Gemfos 35mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Gemfos 35mg Tablet is used in the treatment of osteoporosisThis disease mostly occurs in women after menopause, but can sometimes be seen in men. It can also occur in patients receiving steroids.

How to use Gemfos Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gemfos 35mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Gemfos Tablet works
Gemfos 35mg Tablet is a bisphosphonate. It acts by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause the destruction of bone, thereby strengthening the bones and minimizing the risk of fractures.

Side Effects:

Common Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Headache, Heartburn, Difficulty in swallowing.

Expert advice for Gemfos Tablet
Take Gemfos in the morning on an empty stomach with water. Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after taking Gemfos. Maintain an upright posture for 30 minutes after taking Gemfos. Inform your doctor if you experience pain in jaw, throat, chest, abdomen, hips or thighs. Inform your doctor if you are about to undergo any major dental procedures, as Gemfos may need to be discontinued temporarily.
